iact– Understanding and Promoting Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace

iact is accredited by The Royal College of Psychiatrists

Whether your job is really meaningful to you or just a means to get by, most of us spend a significant proportion of our lives at work.

It’s a topic we’ve often opened up about on the MenTalkHealth podcast. Work can be a big source of, and trigger for, mental health issues. On the other hand, it’s often the people we work with who get us through.

That’s why we now offer this iact training for Employees and Frontline Workers.

It’s evidence-based, rooted in top academic research and accredited by The Royal College of Psychiatrists. But we’ll deliver it with lived experience, and all the warmth, honesty and humour of our much-loved MenTalkHealth podcast – and we can tailor it to the particular needs of your workplace or line of work, too.

  • You’ll learn about mental health and wellbeing issues, and how to recognise when further help might be needed.
  • You’ll pick up practical tools for managing stress, anxiety and low mood, and building resilience.
  • You’ll find out how to connect with someone who may be experiencing difficulties.
  • You’ll go away with your own manual and resource pack, with lots of tools to support colleagues and details of agencies and organisations where they can seek further help.

By becoming an approved iact Practitioner, you can help your colleagues and support mental health and wellbeing where so many mental health issues first show up: in the workplace.

You’ll also be helping MenTalkHealth to talk away stigma, get supportive conversations going – and ultimately help more men open up about mental health.
